Dear Parents/ Guardians,
We here at HFCSD are committed to the health and safety of our students and staff, and to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 we ask that you please follow the protocols we have put in place when returning to the school buildings after a pending COVID test.
Returning After a Negative COVID PCR (swab) Test Result:
For students and staff who are tested and PCR test (swab) is negative, they can return to their educational building when they are:
- Asymptomatic
- Fever free x 3 days without fever-reducing medication
- Diagnosis of another medical condition and have a clearance note to return from a medical provider along with a
- Copy of negative Covid-19 test results.
All documentation MUST BE GIVEN TO THE SCHOOL NURSE BEFORE RIDING THE SCHOOL BUS OR ENTERING THE BUILDING.*
When seeing a provider over the weekend, we ask that you do not send your child to school on Monday morning until speaking with a member of the nursing department.
Returning to school AFTER a Positive COVID PCR Test result
- Positive students or staff will be isolated for a minimum of 10 days from symptom onset.
- In order to return to school, the positive individual must be fever free for 3 days without the use of fever-reducing medication
- A medical note to return to school along with a release from isolation from Washington County Public Health.
All documentation MUST BE GIVEN TO THE SCHOOL NURSE BEFORE RIDING THE SCHOOL BUS OR ENTERING THE BUILDING.*
