All HF students return to 5 day learning on June 1

The Hudson Falls faculty, staff, and principals are excited to announce that hybrid students should plan to return to 5-day in-person instruction starting on Tuesday, June 1.

You can expect that your pre-k through grade 5 students will:

  • Remain with the same teachers in the same classrooms
  • Remain with the same lunch schedule
  • Remain with a mask requirement
  • On Friday have a full day of in-person instruction with a possible combined period of instruction with their partner class.

You can expect that your middle school students will:

  • Remain with the same team and same teachers and be seated in a classroom with a 3-foot desk separation
  • The lunch schedule will provide options for some students to eat in the cafeteria and some to remain in classrooms to eat with a teacher or an aide
  • Remain with a mask requirement
  • On Friday have a full day of instruction

You can expect that your high school student will:

  • Remain with the same teachers and be seated in a classroom with 3-foot desk separation
  • The lunch schedule will provide options for some students to eat in the cafeteria and some to remain in classrooms to eat with a teacher or an aide
  • Remain with a mask requirement
  • On Friday have a full day of instruction

You can expect that as we organize our bus routes students will:

  • NOT have a change to pick-up or drop-off locations
  • Require assigned seats, wear masks and attendance to be taken
  • Need to allow for an extra 5 minutes on either side of your scheduled pick up and drop off time

You can expect that safety procedures will continue:

  • Masks are required
  • Temperature pre-screening will take place upon student entry
  • Students showing symptoms will have parents contacted

We are excited to see ALL of our students as we return to 5-day in-person instruction. If you do have any questions, feel free to email us at questions@hfcsd.org anytime!

Virtual students may request a return and we will respond based on what safety and capacity allow.  Our focus is on in-person instruction but please know that we will remain 100% committed to student and staff safety as our number one priority.
