Dear 8th Grade Families:
I am pleased to announce that with the lifting of some of the DoH restrictions, we are able to change the 8th Grade Moving Up Ceremony to a single event. The Ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 10th at 10:00 am in the High School Auditorium. Following the ceremony, students will be escorted to the Middle School where they will have their photo taken on a Tiger Paw Backdrop. Photos will be emailed to students to share with families. Following photos, students will have a quick lunch and end their day with a class party behind the school. DJ Sliva will be playing the newest downloads and faculty and staff will organize backyard games for kids to enjoy. To top it off, Coolies Ice Cream Truck will be present to ensure students receive a complimentary tasty treat on their special day. We encourage students to dress nicely for the event and to bring a change of clothes for the student reception festivities.
As you can tell we are still focused on ensuring this is a special moment for our students and plan to provide a full day of events to celebrate this great accomplishment. Families will be invited to view the ceremony via live stream at 10:00 am on the day of the Ceremony or watch it at their convenience. The recording will be uploaded on the District Web Page (www.hfcsd.org) or the District’s YouTube Channel.
Again, I would like to thank our parents and families for all of their support and understanding during this unprecedented school year. I congratulate you and your student on this wonderful achievement and share in your excitement as we celebrate this milestone.
Sincerely,
William Whitty, Principal
