With only a few weeks left until holiday break and a new year, we have lots of ways to keep the season bright for our learners here at Hudson Falls. We want to remind you that it is our goal to keep 100% of our students in school learning, 100% of the time, and we have ways to support our families to do so.
For some students, we understand that getting to school can be hard. If your student misses the bus, please contact our Transportation Department at (518) 681-4550. They will find a bus to come to get your student. Every time, it’ll get your student to school safely, so they can be at their best.
I’ve also heard from some of our families that our students are feeling behind as they come back to class after a quarantine. We are here to help. We’ve got after-school and before-school programs on our website for all of our students from Pre-K to 12th grade.
We also recognize that mental well-being is an important part of being able to fully participate in school. Our Care Center, located right in the main hallway of the high school is available. This special room has staff and resources to help support the whole student, through whatever they may be going through, even if it’s just a tough morning, in and out of the classroom.
Finally, the best way for our students to brighten up their school day this season and beyond is to find their circle. That group of people that shares an interest, hobby, or sport. There’s no better way to do that than to join one of the many clubs, activities, and sports we offer here at school. Have your student check-in with their guidance counselor for a list of clubs and organizations, or check out the links below.
Sincerely,
Dan Ward, Superintendent
