Hello Tiger Family,
The clocks have sprung ahead, just as we continue to move forward. As a reminder, tomorrow, March 18 is a Superintendent’s Conference Day and there will be no school for students. Our teachers and administrators will take part in professional development on a number of social-emotional learning (SEL) topics to better serve our students.
As highlighted last week, we will kick off our “Attend Today, Achieve Tomorrow” attendance campaign for all UPK-12 students. Starting Monday, March 21, help our students make every day a learning day. All your students need to do is show up on-time to be entered to win prizes, privileges, parties and more! For full details, please visit our website to learn more.
This month we also welcome the return of our spring musical, “The Drowsy Chaperone,” presented by the Drama Club. Performances are at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 25, and 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 26. The shows will be open to the public and information on how to reserve tickets can be found on our website.
This week our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade teams competed in the Battle of the Books 2022 competition. The annual competition, hosted by The Washington Saratoga Warren Hamilton Essex BOCES School Library System was held virtually. Our students prepared for the “battle” by reading a total of 10 books (five fiction and five non-fiction) and during the “battle” they answered questions pertaining to the books. We are so proud of our young readers!
Lastly our High School Quizbowl team defeated Lake George this week and advanced to the league semi-finals against Saratoga. Good luck, Tigers!
I hope you have a great weekend.
Sincerely,
Dan Ward, Superintendent
