Hello Tiger Family,
Seeing so many of our students, faculty, and staff dress in attire from previous decades – rallying for a good cause – as they participated in the Decades for Goodness event earlier today was a wonderful way to end the week on a positive note.
The compassion and care demonstrated by our community on behalf of Christopher Goodness is the foundation of #HFTigerPride and #CommunityPride. Thank you to everyone who participated in large and small ways to bring joy, support, and love to Christopher and his family.
The week also included the first Honors Graduation Award Ceremony in three years. It was a chance for families to attend and celebrate with our full student body cheering on these 21 students who maintained a minimum of 90 percent grade point average since 9th grade. On the same day, we also had six students complete their Seal of Biliteracy presentations.
It is important for you to know that we are extremely proud of all of our students’ academic achievements and other accomplishments this past year. TEAMTIGER will be working hard to ensure all students are celebrated at whatever level they made progress or experienced success.
Thanks to an unused snow day the Board of Education approved Friday as a holiday for us all to have a long weekend. Take a moment over the long weekend to remember all those who lost their lives serving our country and to enjoy some well deserved time with your family and friends.
When we return on Tuesday, we will have only a few weeks left in the 2021-22 school year before we send our seniors off at the June 25 graduation ceremony. Think about ways you can ensure your student attends each and every one of those remaining days. Each day makes a difference in helping your student realize their full potential.
Wishing you the best for a safe and relaxing Memorial Day weekend.
Sincerely,
Dan Ward, Superintendent
