What is it called when you see the words spirit week, pep rally, and homecoming?
Tiger Pride!
The energy around the High School’s spirit week leading into Homecoming can be felt and experienced district- and community-wide. I hope you are looking forward to it as much as I am and will participate in one or several of the theme days listed below. I want to compliment and commend our Hudson Falls High School Student Council for incorporating fun as well as a community cause, breast cancer awareness, into the week.

Read & Vote: Book Bonanza at the Middle School!
Our middle school was selected by a national organization to receive 300 books! The program provides a school library with the newest books – fiction, nonfiction, and even instructional based – and we get to read them and vote on them. In exchange, The Children’s Book Council Favorite Books Program lets the school keep the books!
“Please feel free during a free period to come check out what has arrived so far and join in the reading and voting process,” said teacher Sarah McCann. Parents, please talk about this opportunity with your students and encourage them to participate! Teachers are also encouraged to check out the books and bring a class with them. We want to fully take advantage of this book bonanza!

HFCSD is hosting its Trunk or Treat event Saturday, Oct. 29 and we still have open spots for families and organizations that would like to participate in the event.
It’s simple: Decorate the trunk of your vehicle and provide candy or goodies for children who are trick or treating. Prizes will be awarded for the favorite decorated trunk.
We are asking for those who are planning to decorate a trunk for the event to sign up by next Friday, Oct. 21. Please use this form to receive communications about the event.
Have a great weekend,
