It is the day before Winter Break, and in the spirit of “Twas the Night Before Christmas,” I have a video message in hopes of setting the tone for a fun-filled time with family and friends.
Your school family has been busy this past week, sending us all off in spirited style … from carolers traveling the halls from room to room to hot cocoa stations, the festive atmosphere and shows of generosity are inspiring to say the least.
Busy as Santa’s Elves: Construction Goes into Full Force at the High School
As Principal Bennefield shared with high school families earlier this week, the capital construction work at the high school amped up and went into full swing. For the past month-plus, the project centered around the new secured entry on the outside of the building. The interior phase – the library, auditorium, and several bathrooms – will require all our patience as that work continues now into the months of the new year.
Jan. 3 – Mark Your Calendars!
We are all going to get some needed downtime, but there is also the anticipation of kicking off the 2023 portion of our school. We return Tuesday, Jan. 3 and over the holiday is a good time to review the 2022-23 school year calendar to ensure you and your family have a plan to make attendance a priority. Attend Today, Achieve Tomorrow remains a source of #TigerPride.
I want to express my gratitude to everyone in the HF School Community and recognize all you have done and continue to do for our students, school, community, and each other.
Warm Wishes for a Happy, Healthy, and Safe break, you all deserve it.
Happy Holidays,
Dan Ward, Superintendent
