Welcome to the first Talking Tigers of 2024! I hope you had an enjoyable break and holiday season. Seeing students arrive refreshed and ready to dive into their learning, extracurriculars and athletics is what excites me most.
Say Yes To The Dress
On January 11th, the HFCSD will host a Prom Boutique where students and community members can pick prom outfits from the free items. The Boutique will be set up in the High School Auditorium Lobby from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The boutique will have a selection of new and gently used gowns, formal wear, shoes, and accessories, all offered to shoppers for free. This is the perfect opportunity to get ready for your upcoming prom, the senior dinner dance, or any upcoming formal events you have planned.
Snowflake Ball
The incredible folks at our dedicated PTSA have done it again! We are thrilled to host the magnificent “Snowflake Ball” scheduled for Saturday, January 13. It will be a drop off and pick up event from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. at the Intermediate School. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase in the cafeteria throughout the event. Have your student come and have a ball.
Community Tailgate
Mark the date Thursday, January 25 on your calendar. There will be a community tailgate event in the parking lot on the Franklin St. side of the high school. From 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. Nutrition Staff will be serving up hot dogs, chips, water, along with hot cocoa, free of charge to everyone who attends the event. There will be a tent to stay out of the winter wind and a heater inside the tent. The event is supporting the Girls Basketball senior night vs. Queensbury and we invite everyone out for this pre-game event with fun games and food.
