This week we honor Sophomore Swimmer Jeremy Kilburn and Junior Cheerleader Destinee Botts.
Jeremy is on the Swimming and Diving team, where coach Joseph Hart said Jeremy was able to set new personal bests in the 50 meter and 100 meter freestyle swim.
“Jeremy bring such energy to the team which is very important,” said Swim Coach Joseph Hart. “I look forward to watching Jeremy continue to improve as the season goes on.”
Destinee Botts is a member of the cheerleading squad, and was nominated by her coach Kathy Dudley. A meeting delayed Mrs. Dudley from getting the team setup before a recent varsity basketball game. When she got to the gym, Destinee had the whole squad in position and ready to cheer!
“Destinee showed true leadership that day,” said Cheerleading Coach Kathy Dudley. “And it happens often. When asked by a Adult or by her peers to help she does it cheerfully and without hesitation. She truly is a great role model for other students.”
Off the court, Destinee is involved in Academic Quiz Bowl, and is a manager/scorekeeper for the wrestling team.
Congratulations to both of this week’s winners!
