Hudson Falls Central School District partnered with Remote Area Medical (RAM) to host a free pop-up clinic from April 5-7, 2024 in the high school gymnasium. The two-day clinic provided vital free healthcare services to hundreds of residents facing barriers to affordable care.
Over the course of the weekend, dedicated RAM staff and volunteers delivered:
- 200 dental procedures
- 70 vision exams and glasses
- 25 general medical consultations
In total, the clinic served close to 300 individuals and families providing an estimated $175,000 worth of free healthcare services to the Hudson Falls community and surrounding areas.
“We are incredibly grateful to Remote Area Medical for bringing this invaluable clinic to our school district and would also like to thank the local food bank and additional outside groups for providing free resources and services,” said Superintendent Dan Ward. “Ensuring all our residents have access to quality healthcare is so important, and this was a tremendous opportunity for our community.”
The success of the RAM clinic would not have been possible without the added support of our district Buildings & Grounds, Nutrition Services and Technology Department. The collective efforts of RAM, school staff, community partners and volunteers made a lasting impact for those struggling with quality healthcare in our region.
