This week, we are turning our spotlight on two outstanding student-athletes during the fall season.
First up is Senior Joe Lapan. Joe plays varsity soccer and had a great game as goalie this month. According to his coach, joe saved 31 shots on goal in a recent game versus Colonie. All told, Joe has saved 184 shots this season!
“Without his tenacious efforts, the outcome of our matches would be much different,” said Boys Varsity Head Coach Jerry Kilmartin.
Next, we salute Junior Nadilee Bailey. She started the year playing doubles on the varsity tennis team. But she has shown some amazing tenacity in challenging and winning her way into the singles portion of the team. Since joining that squad, she has notched seven wins and only one loss!
Head Coach Mike Prendergast calls Nadilee one of the most consistent players all season. “If it wasn’t for her efforts, I don’t know if the team would be 7-2,” said Coach Prendergast.
Congratulations to Joe and Nadilee!
