Happy Friday, Tigers! As a reminder, we will have a shortened schedule next week due to the holiday. Thanksgiving is on November 23, the Hudson Falls Central School District will be closed for the holiday from November 22 till November 24. We will welcome students back from the holiday break on Monday, November 27. We hope you enjoy this time off from school!
Dress Up and Donate! Favorite Holiday Movie Character Day to Support Adam Wells
On Friday, December 15, the Hudson Falls School District will be hosting “Dress As Your Favorite Holiday Movie Character Day” to support our student, Adam Wells. Adam Wells is a 12 year old Middle School student who has been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. All proceeds from this event will be donated directly to Adam and his family so they can purchase a wheelchair accessible vehicle to improve Adam’s mobility.
For a $1.00 donation, we ask that all students, staff, and faculty join us and dress as their favorite movie character on the 15th. The entire Kindergarten Center will dress as Frost the Snowman to show their support for Adam and his family.
Hudson Falls Middle School Basket Raffle
The Middle School Student Council and Middle School Parent-Teacher-Student Organizations will be hosting their Basket Raffle on Saturday, December 2 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. They will raffle away over 50 baskets, with all proceeds going to benefit the Middle School Student Council and PTSO. This year, the event will feature a “Secondhand Shop” in the gymnasium. This will be a place for students and community members to find affordable gifts for their families.
Stay Connected With the District!
As we approach the season where school delays or cancellations may become necessary, it is a good time to make sure you are signed up to receive communications from us. The best way to receive updates from us is to register/sign up for Parent Square. ParentSquare is the mass messaging system used by Hudson Falls CSD, and it will include calls, texts and emails directly from the school when there are urgent messages for families and staff.
Parents of students in grades 6-12 should sign up for Parent Portal access through SchoolTool. We also provide frequent updates on our social media so you can stay up to date on all things Tiger. You can follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram under the handle @HudsonFallsCSD.
Stuff the Cruiser
We are partnering with the Hudson Falls Police Department this Sunday, November 19 to fill as many police cruisers as we can with non-perishable food items for Thanksgiving donation. The event will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Juckett Park on the circle. We hope our Tiger Community will pitch in to help local families in need.
