Happy Friday to our Hudson Falls CSD community! With just a few weeks left of 2023, our Tigers are getting prepared to finish the year strong. This week, we had Parent Teacher Conferences for our students in the Kindergarten Center, Primary School, and Intermediate School. Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to meet with your childs’ teachers and discuss their progress. In holiday news, both the Middle School and the PTSA hosted fundraising events to support their efforts both inside and outside of the classroom. It is always a pleasure to see the holiday spirit bring our community together.
Please be reminded that the holiday recess for the Hudson Falls Central School District will begin on Thursday, December 21. Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 2.
Winter Choir Concert Auditorium Dedication
Wednesday, December 13, we will be celebrating the career of Joyce Irwin with a special dedication during the 7:30pm winter concert. Joyce was the choir director for 40 years, a career that spanned generations of Hudson Falls students. Her legacy of having started the ”Choraliers”, a select chorus made up of HF high school students, continues today with performances alongside renowned musicians both locally and from around the world. Please take a moment to share a special memory! Link to form

Hudson Falls Students at Women in Trades Day with BOCES
Hudson Falls students attended the Women in Trades Day, sponsored by WSWHE BOCES. This is part of their Women In Trades Initiative, the goal of the program is to narrow the skills gap and to encourage women to enter the trades. Students from the area are selected by their school districts to attend the event and learn more about the earning potential, career opportunities, and educational resources available.
Quick Note From the Health Office
It can be hard to know when to send children to school if they tell you that they do not feel well. Usually, the best place for them is in school, but there are some times when keeping them home to rest or calling for an appointment with your health care provider is recommended. With an uptick in seasonal illness use the website to help determine when to keep your child home and when it is safe for them to return.
Remind children to throw away used tissues, cover their mouths when they cough or sneeze, keep their hands away from their face, and to wash hands often with soap and warm.
