Talking HF Tigers 5/10

Last evening the Spring concert schedule kicked off with our Middle and High School bands. The sweet sounds of the Grade 6 band started things off, followed by an inspiring set from our 7/8 band and wrapped up with our high Schoolers closing the show. Congratulations to all of the seniors who performed on the Hudson Falls stage for the final time as members of the band. Thank you seniors for your dedication to our music department, I know your love of music will be passed onto future generations. Senior Kallie Norton arranged the first piece by the 9-12 band as a student conductor and we wish her luck in pursuit of music education.

Teacher Appreciation Week

This week, the Hudson Falls Central School District celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week! Teachers throughout the week received hand written messages from students and special luncheons as an expression of gratitude. We thank every member of our staff for their commitment to educating and improving the lives of our students. In addition to the jobs they have in the school, our teachers serve as role models for the next generation. Thank you for all that you do!

Celebrating School Nurse Day

Wednesday, May 8 was National School Nurses Day! Our school nurses play an invaluable role in our district by keeping students in our school buildings healthy and safe. Nurses are healers, educators, role models, and comforters. Thank you to our school nurses Jodie Boucher, Jessica Percetti, Autumn Tucker, Jamie Zeno, Kari Peter, Cindy Ketchen, Wendy Whitman, Amber Fitzgerald, Ashley Clark, Sharon Mead, and Shannon Patrick!

Day Game

On Thursday, our High School hosted a unified basketball game between the Hudson Falls Tigers and the Hadley-Luzerne Eagles. The game took place during the school day as an assembly and the stands were packed with students and staff cheering on our Tigers. While Hudson Falls pulled out the victory, everyone that left the gym was a winner for having this great experience. Congratulations to our unified basketball team and their coaches and thank you to everyone for coming out!

Mark the Calendar

Tuesday, May 21 is the annual Budget Vote from noon to 8:00 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. All Hudson Falls residents were mailed a Budget Newsletter and Budget information can be found on the website, including a digital copy of the newsletter. We encourage you to take a moment to come out and vote on the 21st. Highlighted in last week’s Talking Tigers, the Celebration of the Arts will take place the same evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the high school featuring artwork and performances from around the district.
