Many times throughout the year we highlight the busyness of the district and its campuses, and Spring seems to be as busy as ever. State testing has been underway in our elementary and middle schools, high school has begun Regents reviews and extracurricular activities are visible everywhere. We know many parents are seemingly always on the go this spring and we thank you for keeping your children involved in everything that is being offered.
The Show Must Go On
Last evening our spring concert series kicked off with our band program from grades 6-12. Beyond the amazing sounds from these talented musicians, we admire their adaptability as they performed in the unique location of our HS gym. With our auditorium currently under renovations, the music department put in the extra effort to make sure these students still had the opportunity to showcase their talents for our community. The band kicked things off last night, with the HS orchestra and choir concert set for May 11 at 7:30 p.m. and the MS orchestra and choir concert on May 25 at 7:30 p.m., both in the HS gym to follow.
Tigers in Action
Interscholastic spring sports have been in full swing for a while and if you have not made it out, I encourage you to check the schedule and get out and enjoy some nice weather and competition. Beyond Modified, JV and Varsity, we have many young Tigers participating in youth baseball and softball. It is exciting to see all the enthusiasm that this participation carries, including wearing their team jerseys to school!
If you want to keep your Tiger involved for the summer, check out our HFCSD Recreation page to see the many offerings that are open for sign up now!
