Happy Friday everyone! After a long, hot week, we have all made it through the heat wave. Thank you to all of our families, staff, and students for being flexible with the schedule and testing location changes. The final week of the school year is upon us and I would like to remind everyone that the final two days will be Monday and Tuesday with half days at our elementary schools and testing for secondary.
Medication Pickup
With the close of the 2023-24 school year, parents and guardians need to pick up any medication(s) that the school is holding. Parents should buzz the main office and identify the child/children that they are picking up medication for. Please note: Health Office staff are not permitted to release medication to students. Medication pickup will take place on Monday, June 24th, and Tuesday, June 25th. UPK through 5th can pick up from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 6th through 12th Grades can pick up from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Any medications not picked up by close of day on June 25th will be destroyed.
Senior Walkthrough
Last week, our senior class of 2024 visited all of the Hudson Falls school buildings to visit excited students, proud teachers and staff, and even some emotional parents. It was a great way to wrap up the final day of their high school careers!
Take the Stage
The Hudson Falls Central School District is proud of all of our students for making it to the end of the 2023-24 school year. Our UPK classes held their end-of-the-year celebration outside, where they performed songs they had learned throughout the school year for their families. Our Kindergarteners performed their end-of-the-year concert at the Strand Theater. Luckily the 8th grade and 5th grade Moving Up Ceremonies were held in the air-conditioned auditorium at the High School with both nights filling to capacity. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate our students’ progress!
Walk the Cause
The Goodness Strong Walk-A-Thon will be held this Sunday (6/23) starting at 10:30 a.m. at the Kingsbury Volunteer Hose Company. It is a great way to honor the life of Christopher Goodness and help support the scholarship set up in his name for graduating Hudson Falls students.
