Talking HF Tigers 6/7

The month of June will be busy as we approach the homestretch of the school year. I hope families are enjoying all the fun activities that occur at the end of the school year and can see the progress their child has made throughout the year. We will celebrate student accomplishments and honor the next chapter throughout the month.

SPAC Attack

The Festival of Young Artists is an annual event held at Saratoga Performing Arts Center that includes student art shows, poetry slams, and live performances featuring hundreds of young dancers, singers, artists and musicians. This year we had three students who were featured last Sunday, June 2nd at SPAC.

Audrey Davis, a junior, presented her painting “Pretty”. Ava Nassivera, also a junior, featured her pencil drawing “Memories”. Brenden Harrington, a senior, featured a literary work called, “My Favorite Holiday”. Congratulations to these students on their outstanding work and deserved recognition. You can view their works in the festival online gallery by visiting https://www.spacfoya.org/

Man of Service

Derek Call was honored last month by the Adirondack Area School Board Association for his commitment to community service. Derek has volunteered countless hours for the Special Olympics of New York and has been an active member of our Unified sports programs. Derek is a great representation of a selfless Tiger. I encourage you to check out a story we ran about Derek and his cousin Bryce and their involvement with the Special Olympics from November of 2022 titled A Special Connection.

Tiger at States

Good luck to Jaymison Eisenhardt, who will be competing in the triple jump this weekend in Syracuse at the NYSPHSAA Track & Field State Championships! Jaymison, a junior, set the Foothills Championship meet record earlier this season and at Section 2 State Qualifiers he set the new Hudson Falls High School school record in the triple jump with a jump of 45 feet 4 inches. Congratulations on a remarkable spring season.
