Talking HF Tigers 9/13

We have successfully wrapped up our first full week of school and everyone is settling into their routines nicely. Building communications have begun informing parents and guardians of upcoming safety drills, some of which have already taken place. The safety of our students and all individuals in our school community is the priority for the Hudson Falls Central School District.

As required by New York State Education Law, students and staff in our school will be practicing “Evacuation Drills” and “Lockdown Drills.” These drills will help enhance and refine our emergency response procedures. New this year, your school will alert you 24 hours prior to the drill being conducted.

Please remind your student that any concern regarding safety within our school should be immediately reported to a school staff member.

Keeping Us Safe

Hudson Falls CSD is happy to introduce our full-time School Resource Officer (SRO), Officer Ryan Woodward from the Hudson Falls Police Department. Officer Woodward will be visible throughout the district and work with staff and administration to coordinate safety and security measures, keeping our buildings safe. Officer Woodward is a tremendous asset for the Hudson Falls school community and I encourage you to get to know him on our HFCSD webpage!

The district also has an additional SRO from the Washington County Sheriff’s office, Officer Pete Casertino. Officer Casertino will work in conjunction with Officer Woodward to support our schools safety and security. Welcome to both!

Parent Portal

We ask that all parents/guardians of students in grades 6-12 sign up for parent portal access through SchoolTool. Parent Portal offers parents and guardians the ability to stay on top of their students’ attendance and work assignments through a single login. At this time, there is no portal access for UPK-5th grade.

If you are eligible for an account, please send the following information to schooltoolportal@hfcsd.org : Parent Name, Students name(s), & grade(s)

Once we receive the email and create your parent/guardian account, you will receive an email with your password and login instructions. Any questions can be answered via email at schooltoolportal@hfcsd.org or via phone at (518) 681-4357.
