Thank you to everyone for their patience as our district was affected by the widespread FirstLight network outage that occurred on Wednesday. We are grateful that swift action was taken by the provider and Thursday morning the service was fully restored for normal operation. Messages went out through our mass communication platform ParentSquare regarding the phone outage. If you did not receive a message from the district this week and would like to receive emergency notifications please contact your building and provide the appropriate contact information.
Look To The Sky
I am sure many families are excited for this weekend’s 51st annual Adirondack Balloon Festival. Intermediate students had a special sneak preview with 2004 Hudson Falls High School graduate and balloon pilot B.J. Sullivan. A pair of balloons were inflated for an assembly on Thursday morning. Mr. Sullivan gave the students a brief history of ballooning and the science behind it. The balloons never actually took flight but Sullivan did demonstrate a rise in his single seater to about 10 feet in the air to the delight of the students. At the conclusion of the event classes were able to assist in the deflation and packing up of the balloons.
Parents Night
Thank you to all the Primary families who attended the Open House this week. Next up we host Intermediate School families on Tuesday, September 24 from 6:45 to 8:00 p.m. and Kindergarten Center families on Thursday, September 26 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Meeting the teachers and visiting your child’s classroom is a great experience and we appreciate all of the parents and guardians who make it out.

Flyers will be distributed home and digital flyers will also be shared through ParentSquare. This year parents have the option to pre-order online and you can access this information below by clicking on your school.

Seniors, your senior portraits, baby pictures, and quotes are due October 25th. All of the information you need regarding senior portraits, quotes, and superlatives will be on the Class of 2025 Classroom page. Adirondack School Portraits will be in the high school on October 2 and 3. During this time, any senior may get a FREE senior portrait with their services.
