Dear Parents/Guardians,
We will be celebrating Halloween at the Primary School on Thursday, October 31st with an outside parade. Spectators are welcome. The parade will start at 10:00. It will begin outside of the first grade wing at the back of the building and travel along the side of the school by the gym. The students will re-enter the building through the front doors. The parade will be canceled if it is raining.
Parents WILL NOT be allowed down to their child’s classroom before or after the parade unless they have prearranged a visit with their child’s teacher. Teachers will give the office a list of parents that they are expecting in their classroom. Visitors to the building will have their driver’s license scanned through Raptor, our visitor management system, and provided a badge and lanyard to wear to the classroom.
We ask that you send your child to school with an appropriate costume to change into for the parade. Your child needs to be able to get into and out of the costume independently and quickly. Costumes that are worn in school should not contain a mask or impair the child’s vision. Costumes should also not contain any type of weapon or contain parts that could potentially hurt a child. If you have bought your child a costume that may contain some of these items, please just send them to school without the items listed above.
