If you haven’t checked it out yet, please head over to our newly redesigned website! We’ve streamlined everything to make it easier for your family to find exactly what you need and stay up to date with everything happening across the district. As one last reminder there will be no school on Monday, January 19 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and the High School will conduct Regents testing from Tuesday, January 20 through Friday, January 23.
Regents at The High School
High School students will only need to attend school on days when they are scheduled to take an exam. Buses will run on the normal schedule, and students who require transportation should get on and off the bus at their regular times. Elementary and middle school students will be on their regular schedules.
Each testing day will include two exam sessions. Morning exams will begin promptly at 8:00 AM, and afternoon exams will begin promptly at 12:00 PM. Students are required to remain at their testing location for a minimum of two hours and a maximum of three hours, unless they have approved testing accommodations. The exam schedule can be found below.
While attendance is vital to student success, this time of year brings increased illness. It's important to balance being in school with maintaining a safe and healthy environment for everyone. Communication with the Health Office can help confirm whether your student should stay home with illness. Please visit our health services page which offers guidelines and contact information to support our efforts for healthy learning environments.
Snowflake Shake
The Snowflake Shake is the annual semi-formal for 7th- and 8th-grade students being held on Friday, January 23 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the middle school gymnasium (not to be confused with The Snowflake Ball taking place this weekend for Intermediate students), Mr. Sliva will provide the music and Mrs. Samuelson will take photos. Tickets are $10 each and includes entry to the dance, pizza, drinks and 1 raffle ticket. Students can also purchase tickets for $12 which will include the above-mentioned items and 10 raffle tickets.
Green Carpet
On Friday, January 23 the “Green Carpet” event hosted by the Tiger Trackers Booster Club returns and offers our younger students a unique chance to show off their Tiger pride! Beginning at 4:45 p.m. at the high school there will be concessions and an opportunity to get your picture taken with the Tiger mascot and athletes. The event is being held in conjunction with the boys basketball game against Broadalbin-Perth with JV starting at 5:30 p.m. and varsity tipping at 7:00 p.m. In between games you won't want to miss the recognition of some of our new teachers to the district as we celebrate the newest members of Team Tiger.
